Clueless!

Hey all, I have been working on sprucing up the blog. I wanted something BRIGHT! So I took a jump at personalizing the Kraft Nook blog. {Do you like?}
I would like to make it more unique but I had to start somewhere.
I also spent a few hours away from the computer to do some real Krafting. I just loved the Sketch over at Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge and the Movie Clueless was Cinema Saturdays Feature film. {LOL What a funny movie!} One of the things this movie embraces is Fashion. It is very obvious with some of the hats and accessories the characters wear. Of course this meant I could Pile It On with the flower challenge too.
Buy it: Lovely Hat {$2}
I am very pleased with the way this hat looks. I cut it free-hand. This card would be perfect for Easter or Mother's day.

Happy Krafting!

Rock your B-Day!

**edited on February 10, 2010**
I wanted to let you in on a few secrets over at The Bombshell Stamps site.
1, They have a February Sketch Challenge! with St. Patty prize pack!
2, The have a Banner Contest.
LAST BUT  NOT LEAST: FONT GENERATOR!
So if you check out my card, You can see the sentiment on the bottom corner. I generated that image with the FONT GENERATOR!  I also used the February sketch to make this card.
I printed "Rock you B-Day" and stamped the "Rock~star" on Glossy photo paper.
I am not sure if the picture shows how truly vibrant the images are. They are shockingly SHARP!

Happy Krafting!

Happy Valentine's Love Alice

Here I go again posting for the third time today. WOW!
I have a Twilight Valentine I made For Jasper from Alice.
The sentiment says: "I knew you would Love me."
I didn't find this quote in the book or the movie. It just seemed like something Alice would say.
The TTC Challenge is to use texture on you Twilight Valentine.
For texture I used satin ribbon and Glitter embossed paper.
These images are from the Greeting Farm and they are too perfect for Alice and Jasper.
I did take the effort to stamping Alice a little shorted that her Lovely Jasper.
{I am very pleaded with how it looks!}
I used a few other Challenges to get this card going...

Happy Krafting!

Narnia inspired card.

The Cinema Saturday gang is back with the first challenge of 2010, and it's all about Narnia.
I tried to color Anya to look like Susan in this picture. The designer paper has distressed scrolls and the pewter crested button I used for embellishing create a regal looking.

This card is also a 12 days of Christmas Sketch #10 and a Pile it on Anything Clear card!
{materials} Razzelberry purple card-stock, designer paper "Day and Night", Sentiment Stamp "Glad we're friends"and markers by Stampin' Up! Image of girl is part of a stamp set called Dressy Anya from the greeting Farm Miss Anya collection. Button and Ribbon Found Items. Iridescent Glitter from Close to My Heart. {tool} Liquid glass for clear embellishment on dress. Sewing Machine for pleating the ribbon and the paper piecing around the card. Paper Punch for edge of card stock "Victorian"by Fiskars.

New Years treat Anyone?
Here is little gift I made for my next door neighbor.

These yummies are decorated with a 12 days of Christmas Sketch #8 and a Pile it on Anything Digi!
I printed this digi Image from The Greeting Farm with my laser printed on Textured Card stock... I would not recommend this to anyone. it was very tricky to work with. I should have stuck to my regular smooth card stock the imaged are much sharper.
{material} Sentiment "To you from me" stamp, Brown ink, Blue and Brown Card-stock by Stampin' Up! Ribbons and brad are found items.  {tools} 1-1/2 and 1-38 inch circle punches by Stampin' Up!

Christmas gift package

The Greeting Farm had a great Challenge for "the complete package", and boy was I stumped. After much thought I came up with this ...

These tins and book clip coordinate with the gift holder I made on my blog-aversary post. {here}
They are a Christmas Gift for my "Mommy-Buddy".  I stamped and colored Anya's head for tags to embellish the tins. I put a eyelet in the hat  to lace the tags to the tins.
The packaging is a re-use package from my birthday. I re-moved the original labels and replaced them with hand-stamp labels. {check out the close ups}

I also wanted to let you all know that there is a sale over at Purple Onion Design Stamps are 25% off until Dec 15th! You could also enter a draw over at the blog by post the blinkie like me. Head on over!

If you have any question please feel welcome to leave a comment.

Thanksgiving

We have celebrated Thanksgiving here, south of the boarder. But I am sure our southern neighbors are starting to think about Thanksgiving. My brothers and I have gotten older and we have made some new "more mature" tradition. Some like Pecan Pie or ice-cream.
We LOVE to play RISK!

I am not sure how it started but it is our new favorite tradition.
In this lay-out I documented the prominent players.
My brother my husband and myself.
I would also like to mention in year 4 of Thanksgiving RISK I won!
{hehehehehe}

Hey did you know there was a Lost version of Risk?
***I have done a literal translated the article for you***

Do you have any unique Thanksgiving traditions ?
Let me know,
Shaz

I have smiled so many times since I joined the GreetingFarm gallery!
The artists on the farm are so talented and encouraging I have love browsing the card they make. It is my new favorite gallery!
Today for the "FarmFreshFriday" challenge over at the GreetingFarm gallery. The challenge is to make a "no Fills" card. I must say it was tricky to refrain from ribbon and flowers. But I did it!
I made an easel card with this template. It is so simple. You can make three 4 X 4 inch card with a sheet one 12 X12 of card-stock. I also used the sketch from MojoMonday and the colors from ColorThowdown.
Now for my BLoopers!
Since I have had so many smiles from the comment here and at the GreetingFarm Gallery. I thought I would make you smile.
I will show you some great card bloopers!
This card was a scratch and sniff card that got licked by a 2 year old.
This card got edited by two 4 year olds!
This card was enhanced by a 5 year old stamper.

lol ... I love kids! they are so CREATIVE!.... lol

I hope you loved the bloopers. I am sure I will have more in the future.
Have a great week-end,

charm{story}

I really like scrapbooking but it seems that I spend more time on card making....I wonder why?
Anyhow, here is a page I made for my birthday. I had some ID photos from a charm bracelet I made for my Mom last year. The picture were all so precious, I kept a copy for myself. So, I named the layout "Charm Story".
The large photo is a crappy print from my printer. I'll get a real photo printed for my scrapbook,later. I just love this picture of me. {I am always behind a camera} The camera in this photo is very unique my husband picked it up at a yard sale, before we met. We don't know much about it but it is OLD. {must have known he'd marry a shutter-bug}
I used lots of rub-ons for this layout, and black velvet ribbon. {tres luxe} I also used my favorite colors: Teal and Lilac.
{material} patterned paper by Basic Grey. card-stock by SU! Rub-on by Daisy D's. Brad, ribbon and button from the nooks and crannies of my KraftNook.

Well, You may have noticed that I am very excited about my birthday! I did a little birthday shopping {with birthday money of course}. I ordered some stamp from Greeting Farm and Verve stamp. I ordered both today... so ... The race is on! Wonder which order will arrive first!

Back to School

Around here it is the first day of school. Kids are both nervous and excited as they head back to class.
Today is not a big deal for my household, you see, your youngest is starting school next friday. That will be the day that School is a big deal!

You may have seen the double pocket cards. To make this one I used the tutorial. Of course details are all up to you! Here I used dementionals to pop out the Fhiona and liquid glass to accent the apple on her headband. This is also my first attempt with Copic markers. The whole world of Copic is new to me but ... interesting.

{materials}
Copic markers, designer paper by SU!, white, black ink, Fhiona stamps by yournextstamp, black and blue card-stock

Hope your kids are having a great day back to school.

Swingin' {Fhiona}

Here is a little card I made with sweet little Fhiona.

This Fhiona image is called Day Dream Fhiona. The image is actually of Fhiona sitting on top of a flower but I trimmed off the flower and placed her in a flower swing I cut using the MM Slice.

To Make Fhiona look like she was sitting on the swing I put dementionals on her bum and left arm. I also cut the right armpit

so that her arm can hold on to the swing. The swing is also raised with dementionals.
The sentiment "Bithday Girl" from the Cupcake Cutie stamp set perfect for any little girl.

Supplies:
Cupcake cutie Fhiona and day dream Fhiona stamp sets available at yournextstamp. Shapes cut with MM Slice Black and Brown ink. Twine. And lots of dementionals.

It is grey around here so hope your day is bright!
