A Simple hi!

This weeks Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #73- Sense and Sensibility. I love Jane Austin movies, I am not much of a reader. {I think I am too hyper for it} the challenge it to make a Clean and simple card. This cards is so simple and has a beautiful clean look.  I love the wide nature shots that so many Jane Austin Movies have. There is so much happening in the English country-side. Picnics, swimming, landscape painting and long walks.

This card is also submission for the Embellish Magazine.
I used the sketch over at 2S4Y Laura's Sketch 49 and the Verve March Project Parade challenge.

Happy Krafting, Shaz

My guy Ian in the woods

My guy Ian has been one of my favorite stamps from the Greeting farm.
He is too cool for school! I have used him on card for both men and teen and it look good every-time. I have even used him to make an engagement and anniversary cards. This My guy Ian card was made with a sketch #5 from the 12 Sketches for Christmas. I use lots of natural embellishments to accent this cart: wood button, twine mesh, maple and birch bark pattered paper
I think that wooden buttons are my favorite buttons to embellish.
Since they are neutral so the match with everything.

The Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm Blog is asking what our craft rooom/area looks like.
Pictures of the real Kraft Nook!

~*~Good day~*~         ***BAD  DAY***
L.O.L... I hope looking at my messy craft area is an encouragement.
I find it hard to keep me "creative energy going" when I stop to tidy.
That being said, I also find that tidying up give me lot of ideas of what I could be creating!?!

Happy Krafting!

Happy**belated**Halloween

Things were so busy on Halloween I didn't get to say:
"Happy Halloween!"
My family has never really gotten in to the festivities.
This year was very different all the kids went out and had a great time.
I guess this is a good sign my babies are growing up.

I made these fun Edward and Jasper buttons to wear when I was handing out the candy.
I also made my husband a LOST costume. It was very simple.
He was dressed like a Darma Initiative mechanic.

Some of my LOST creations are going to be featured over at Eve's blog this week so take a peek!
Eve is a Lost loving crafter too. She has also done some great Twilight inspired creations.

I have some scrapbook pages to show you this week,
So I'll see you soon,
Shaz

charm{story}

I really like scrapbooking but it seems that I spend more time on card making....I wonder why?
Anyhow, here is a page I made for my birthday. I had some ID photos from a charm bracelet I made for my Mom last year. The picture were all so precious, I kept a copy for myself. So, I named the layout "Charm Story".
The large photo is a crappy print from my printer. I'll get a real photo printed for my scrapbook,later. I just love this picture of me. {I am always behind a camera} The camera in this photo is very unique my husband picked it up at a yard sale, before we met. We don't know much about it but it is OLD. {must have known he'd marry a shutter-bug}
I used lots of rub-ons for this layout, and black velvet ribbon. {tres luxe} I also used my favorite colors: Teal and Lilac.
{material} patterned paper by Basic Grey. card-stock by SU! Rub-on by Daisy D's. Brad, ribbon and button from the nooks and crannies of my KraftNook.

Well, You may have noticed that I am very excited about my birthday! I did a little birthday shopping {with birthday money of course}. I ordered some stamp from Greeting Farm and Verve stamp. I ordered both today... so ... The race is on! Wonder which order will arrive first!

card{clip} w/ tutorial

You may remember I made this card for a splitcoaststampers sketch challenge. I love the way the card worked out it was just perfect. Now it is time for me to give my card to a dear friend my cards away seems to be the hardest thing for me. {I think that is why I Scrap-booking better...lol} I didn't want to hide it in an envelope. So, I came up with this card clip!

To make a Card clip...
I used:
a clothes peg. scrap paper. adhesive. embellishments and
glazing solution like Liquidglass/CrystalEffects
Here is how:
1. Take a scrap on the designer paper. Measure it to cover the face of the peg. I cut it slightly bigger than the face of the peg, for an over hang.
2. Smother the front of your peg with adhesive. I used a tape runner to do this. A couple of runs over the face of the peg did a good job.
3. Position the paper over the glue and press firm. Now for that slight over hang... you could file/sand it down but I just folded it down to surround the face's edge.
4. You will want to lay the peg on a flat surface for this. Take your Liquidglass/CrystalEffects type of glazing solution and trace the face of the peg following the edge of the peg.
This will create a wall to hold in the glazing solution.
5. Fill in the walls with the glazing solution and trace the outer edge of the wall as well. This will seal the paper so be sure that you are covering the paper and peg at the same time.
6. Embellish! I used buttons, but anything goes. I placed the buttons on just before the glaze solution dried but you could wait over night and then adhere your embellishments.

Et Voila!

Sketched{page}

I love scrap-booking! It is truly my favorite thing to do.
I found this great site called: Unscripted Sketches.
It was mentioned on Momiji's blog {Hollie}.
When I saw Hollie's sample, I could not resist.
Take a look, this is Sketch #25:
The Sketches are so perfect.
Well, I dug right in and scrapped 3 pages inspired by this sketch.
Only 2 ended up looking like the sketch so here they are.

It was so much fun! I had a great time making these pages.
What do you think ?

See you soon,
Shaz
