My guy Ian in the woods

My guy Ian has been one of my favorite stamps from the Greeting farm.
He is too cool for school! I have used him on card for both men and teen and it look good every-time. I have even used him to make an engagement and anniversary cards. This My guy Ian card was made with a sketch #5 from the 12 Sketches for Christmas. I use lots of natural embellishments to accent this cart: wood button, twine mesh, maple and birch bark pattered paper
I think that wooden buttons are my favorite buttons to embellish.
Since they are neutral so the match with everything.

The Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm Blog is asking what our craft rooom/area looks like.
Pictures of the real Kraft Nook!

~*~Good day~*~         ***BAD  DAY***
L.O.L... I hope looking at my messy craft area is an encouragement.
I find it hard to keep me "creative energy going" when I stop to tidy.
That being said, I also find that tidying up give me lot of ideas of what I could be creating!?!

Happy Krafting!

Narnia inspired card.

The Cinema Saturday gang is back with the first challenge of 2010, and it's all about Narnia.
I tried to color Anya to look like Susan in this picture. The designer paper has distressed scrolls and the pewter crested button I used for embellishing create a regal looking.

This card is also a 12 days of Christmas Sketch #10 and a Pile it on Anything Clear card!
{materials} Razzelberry purple card-stock, designer paper "Day and Night", Sentiment Stamp "Glad we're friends"and markers by Stampin' Up! Image of girl is part of a stamp set called Dressy Anya from the greeting Farm Miss Anya collection. Button and Ribbon Found Items. Iridescent Glitter from Close to My Heart. {tool} Liquid glass for clear embellishment on dress. Sewing Machine for pleating the ribbon and the paper piecing around the card. Paper Punch for edge of card stock "Victorian"by Fiskars.

New Years treat Anyone?
Here is little gift I made for my next door neighbor.

These yummies are decorated with a 12 days of Christmas Sketch #8 and a Pile it on Anything Digi!
I printed this digi Image from The Greeting Farm with my laser printed on Textured Card stock... I would not recommend this to anyone. it was very tricky to work with. I should have stuck to my regular smooth card stock the imaged are much sharper.
{material} Sentiment "To you from me" stamp, Brown ink, Blue and Brown Card-stock by Stampin' Up! Ribbons and brad are found items.  {tools} 1-1/2 and 1-38 inch circle punches by Stampin' Up!

Christmas gift package

The Greeting Farm had a great Challenge for "the complete package", and boy was I stumped. After much thought I came up with this ...

These tins and book clip coordinate with the gift holder I made on my blog-aversary post. {here}
They are a Christmas Gift for my "Mommy-Buddy".  I stamped and colored Anya's head for tags to embellish the tins. I put a eyelet in the hat  to lace the tags to the tins.
The packaging is a re-use package from my birthday. I re-moved the original labels and replaced them with hand-stamp labels. {check out the close ups}

I also wanted to let you all know that there is a sale over at Purple Onion Design Stamps are 25% off until Dec 15th! You could also enter a draw over at the blog by post the blinkie like me. Head on over!

piles of glitter

Why is glitter so messy? I have done an other Pile it on challenge... and this was a messy one. Check out the pile of Challenges I used:
{1}Pile it on challenged us to use Glitter.
{2}  Sketch Saturday gave us the layout
{3} Farm Fresh Friday Color combo
{4} Crafty Cardmaking Non Christmas image on your Christmas card.
I had the grand idea to use the Laundry Hope {see the original image here} to make a tired gift wrapper.  I am sure I will look like this next week, all strung out on wrapping, apple cider and curly ribbon. Can you see her tiny slippers? I have not seen a challenge for flocking but if there was one I would qualify. I dusted her little house slippers with soft white fluff. So while "Hope" pulls an all-night-er, wrapping gifts, her toes will keep toasty.

{material}
Baja, kiwi, real red, choc chip and whisper white card-stock from SU! Laundry Hope stamped image is from TGF and embossed with stazon and SU! clear powder.. Gold glitter is from White Rose{if you even know the place I have had this glitter forever}  Christmas sentiment, ribbons and strings are random from my stash. Colored with Copic markers.
{tools}
Crop-o-dile to punch hole in tag. Making Memories Slice and Noteworthy SD card to cut dies.  Glue pen and Liquid glass from CTMH to adhere glitter and flocking. Heat gun to set the embossing powder and glues.
If you have any question please feel welcome to leave a comment.

Ian{stein}

Hey there, Today I have a really good one for you!
My new favorite stamp company {the Greetingfarm} is having a few challenges this week.
On Farm Fresh Friday they announced A "Punch Drunk" challenges at Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm. And.... Mystery Monday they announced a "Spooktacular"challenge at Club Anya.
Well, I was really stumped! I don't really "love" halloween but I had this super idea!
Frankenstein meets Ian.

I used the Amy R Friday sketch for the lay out. It was my first time using her sketch.
 I found it simple and sweet.
I am going to drop this all off at the pile it on: Challenge #21 too for a blue green and yellow card!

Yeah, I think it is pretty too!

LOST {season 4}

I finished watching Season 4 a couple of weeks ago and just had to make a Thank-you card again. But I wanted to make a little gift too! Every LOST fan has noticed that abundant DARMA INITIATIVE supplies that magically fall from the sky, right? So I thought a DARMA INITIATIVE item ... like a darma covered a Ranch Dressing bottle, would be cool.{lol} Then, I thought, the gift should last longer than a few lunches.

Notebooks are always handy. So, I covered a composition books and created a card that looks like a plane ticket. The notebook had to have a hint of drama. So it has the title DARMA INITIATIVE and a darma-like symbol decorating the front. I cut these great letters with my MM SLICE cutter. I sponged green, yellow and beige ink on the edges to make the book, look like it's been dragged through the jungle for three months.
The plane ticket has the bright paper pieced Oceanic Airline Symbol on the front of the folder. The inside holds a simple blank ticket on which I wrote my thank you note. I did not sponge the ticket or the folder. I thought the contrast of the two pieces looks sharp when I tied the leather sting around them.

Well, I am waiting for season 5 to come out on DVD. Then Season 6 of LOST will start in Jan 2010.

mini{shutter}

Hey there my crafty friends,
I have been overflowing with creative energy. Here is the first of many crafts, it is a mini tri-shutter card.

Yes, I said mini!

Gotta love the little thing in life!

I started with the tutorial on splitcoaststampers from Bonnie. I used a base card of 4" X 6". To resize the card I divided the score lines and cuts in half. So, my score lines are at 1, 2”, 4” and 5” with cuts 1" in between 1 and 5. I was hoping to use this as a invitation but there is not much room for the information.

This size is perfect as a tag for a gift bag.
You will have to visit soon to see the invitations I made. {wink}

{materials}
designer paper & butterfly punch by Martha Stewart,brads, ribbon, scalloped square punch & stamp SU!

Have a great week-end,

Back to School

Around here it is the first day of school. Kids are both nervous and excited as they head back to class.
Today is not a big deal for my household, you see, your youngest is starting school next friday. That will be the day that School is a big deal!

You may have seen the double pocket cards. To make this one I used the tutorial. Of course details are all up to you! Here I used dementionals to pop out the Fhiona and liquid glass to accent the apple on her headband. This is also my first attempt with Copic markers. The whole world of Copic is new to me but ... interesting.

{materials}
Copic markers, designer paper by SU!, white, black ink, Fhiona stamps by yournextstamp, black and blue card-stock

Hope your kids are having a great day back to school.
