Punch Art Framed Butterflies

Hello Crafters,
I hope you had some time to create something wonderful since my last post. I made this beautiful specimen style Punch Art Framed Butterflies with paint chips. As you may have noticed by now I have a little fascination with paint chips at the moment is you follow my Pinterest you can see all the ideas I have collected.
I chose paint chips that were in consecutive order so the colour fade would be uniform in.  I love how these yellow shades have warm browns. They looks great with the gold frame.
 I framed the Punch Art Framed Butterflies in a glass faced frame so the art can double as a white board. I love multi tasking!  I used the Crayola white board crayons  to show how the Punch Art Framed Butterflies looks. {the markers work just the same}
Message me if you would like a Pinterest invite!

What Guava card-stock?!?

Do you know where to get Guava colored card-stock? I couldn't even find a swatch in my old SU! catalogues. You see the greeting FarM had a color Challenge. It's was ...Farm Fresh Color Challenge and the colors were:  Brown , Kraft , and GUAVA! I grabbed my coupons and went to Michael Craft Superstore on my quest for Guava paper. I bought 2 different shades of this color JUST TO BE SAFE!

LOST & 2S4Y

So LOST is back for it's 6th and final season. I could not resist making a card!

I used the sketch from Kazan's Sketch 46 over at 2 Sketches 4 You.
I did do a little flip to the sketch but it is the same thing in landscape form.
Check out the fancy stamping work I did on the button.
I also put a little gift together for a R.A.K.
As you may have seen I got a few R.A.K gifts for Valentine's.
It is time for me to send a surprise to some one.
I am sending a 3X3 card and these stamped goodies to the lucky friend.  I hope she has fun!

Happy Krafting!

Clueless!

Hey all, I have been working on sprucing up the blog. I wanted something BRIGHT! So I took a jump at personalizing the Kraft Nook blog. {Do you like?}
I would like to make it more unique but I had to start somewhere.
I also spent a few hours away from the computer to do some real Krafting. I just loved the Sketch over at Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge and the Movie Clueless was Cinema Saturdays Feature film. {LOL What a funny movie!} One of the things this movie embraces is Fashion. It is very obvious with some of the hats and accessories the characters wear. Of course this meant I could Pile It On with the flower challenge too.
Buy it: Lovely Hat {$2}
I am very pleased with the way this hat looks. I cut it free-hand. This card would be perfect for Easter or Mother's day.

Happy Krafting!

Love Boat

Hey there Sailors, I am back.
I have been sick for almost a week and finally feel better. I even have my voice back.{ARRGhh!}
I am very excited about this card. It is inspired by the movie the TITANIC!
The Cinema Saturday Challenge was to use silver and blue on our Titanic theme card.
I also used the sketch #45 from 2 Sketch 4 you as well as the Pile it on challenge for No Winter Colors!

When I had the flu I rested and finished a book. My husband was able to take the kids out for the day, since it was on the week-end. That gave me lots quiet witch is rare whn you have 4 healthy children!
I did have an order for a 10 thank you card to do as well.

It is almost Christmas!

The big day is almost here and boy is it exciting. I can't wait until the kids open their gifts! In the mean-while I am distracting myself with Facebook and The Greeting Farm sketches.

I am not too sure what I was thinking when I picked the colors but it turned out exactly the way I wanted. I was hoping for a soft look and I think the Yellow and grey really do the job.

Thanksgiving

We have celebrated Thanksgiving here, south of the boarder. But I am sure our southern neighbors are starting to think about Thanksgiving. My brothers and I have gotten older and we have made some new "more mature" tradition. Some like Pecan Pie or ice-cream.
We LOVE to play RISK!

I am not sure how it started but it is our new favorite tradition.
In this lay-out I documented the prominent players.
My brother my husband and myself.
I would also like to mention in year 4 of Thanksgiving RISK I won!
{hehehehehe}

Hey did you know there was a Lost version of Risk?
***I have done a literal translated the article for you***

Do you have any unique Thanksgiving traditions ?
Let me know,
Shaz

photobooth{sweethearts}

Remember when you took pics in a photo booth with your friends?
It was so fun, right!
Well my greeting farm stamp went into the photo booth for this card!
I think Miss Anya and Mr Ian are such a cute couple!
All the "stuff" on this card are teen inspired.
Graffiti paper, bright colors and flair.
I made the "flair" like badge by punching out 4 identical circles
{of different colored card-stock} and gluing them together.
When they were dry I frayed the edges with the edge of my scissors.
I stamped the sentiment on the front of the circles and filled the inside of the fray with liquid glass to create the "flair".

Just wait and see!
I have more Anya and Ian cards for you.

SHaz
{materials}
Card-stock, and sentiment stamp are SU!. Designer paper is Basic Grey,Obscure line. Black ink is Verafine. Ribbon is a dollar find. Liquid glass from CTMH. Image stamps, Miss Anya dressy & Ian by the GreetingFarm.

autumn{treat}

We celebrated our last birthday for a while. Our youngest child turned 4 on the week-end. It was a great day. We had a family party so each invite was for at least 3 people. All the kids and all adults had fun at glow-in-the-dark bowling. Everyone came back to the house after for cake and pizza. Our little townhouse was packed! :)

Making party favors for family parties are kinda tricky... I wanted something for each family to share. Popcorn sliders seemed like a good idea, people share popcorn, right?

I have more party crafts and a great card to show you tomorrow.

See you soon,
Shaz

LOST {season 4}

I finished watching Season 4 a couple of weeks ago and just had to make a Thank-you card again. But I wanted to make a little gift too! Every LOST fan has noticed that abundant DARMA INITIATIVE supplies that magically fall from the sky, right? So I thought a DARMA INITIATIVE item ... like a darma covered a Ranch Dressing bottle, would be cool.{lol} Then, I thought, the gift should last longer than a few lunches.

Notebooks are always handy. So, I covered a composition books and created a card that looks like a plane ticket. The notebook had to have a hint of drama. So it has the title DARMA INITIATIVE and a darma-like symbol decorating the front. I cut these great letters with my MM SLICE cutter. I sponged green, yellow and beige ink on the edges to make the book, look like it's been dragged through the jungle for three months.
The plane ticket has the bright paper pieced Oceanic Airline Symbol on the front of the folder. The inside holds a simple blank ticket on which I wrote my thank you note. I did not sponge the ticket or the folder. I thought the contrast of the two pieces looks sharp when I tied the leather sting around them.

Well, I am waiting for season 5 to come out on DVD. Then Season 6 of LOST will start in Jan 2010.

Sketched{page}

I love scrap-booking! It is truly my favorite thing to do.
I found this great site called: Unscripted Sketches.
It was mentioned on Momiji's blog {Hollie}.
When I saw Hollie's sample, I could not resist.
Take a look, this is Sketch #25:
The Sketches are so perfect.
Well, I dug right in and scrapped 3 pages inspired by this sketch.
Only 2 ended up looking like the sketch so here they are.

It was so much fun! I had a great time making these pages.
What do you think ?

See you soon,

{old}book

There are something in life I just can not throw in the garbage. This journal is one of them.
It is the journal I wrote in the first year of my marriage. I love it! The thing I didn't love, was the cute-seey pattern that was printed on the front.

So today it got a new face.

To cover the book I cut 3 strips of patterned paper 5 X 12 inches. I glued the strips of paper directly on to the book. Starting with the spin then the front and back. By starting with the spin I could make nice clean lines when I placed the paper on the front and back.
{Materials}
epoxy sticker and patterned papers by My Big Ideas.

Have a great day!

Spooky{tag}

Here she is! Fhiona with a cute Halloween costume. This is a witch that you would love to see tied on a treat or with a note just to say : “Have a great day!”
I stamped some friends for Fhiona in the background. The spider has a tiny paper pierced trail leading up to Fhiona. The ghost is a simple white outline, like a ghost should be.

The colors used for this tag are from Dawn McVeys’ Raspberry Suite color Challenge #16. I love the rich palette Dawn always picks. She has a great sense of style.
{materials}
kraft and white cardstock. markers. white and brown ink. Yournextstamp Fhiona image. yellow grosgrain ribbon and brown satin ribbon. The tag was cut with the MM slice.

Have a great day,
Shaz
