Crop 4 the Cure

I recently participated in the Crop 4 the Cure 2012. I had a great time with Kelly and the Cosmic Girl's cure team. They sure know how to party! I participated last year and had an equally amazing time. I made 10 plus scrapbook layout at that event.
This year I focused on making cards. I'm fortunate to have some loyal customers that purchase cards for there hallmark moments. I am well stocked with over 40 new cards for them to enjoy!
I am so pleased with how they turned and and so are the customer. I have already sold 7 cards. I'll give you some close ups of my favorites.

Happy Krafting, Shaz

Blessings this St Patrick's day!

I made this 4X4" card for a special lady named Bridget. She loves St. Patrick's day.
I'll tell you how I did it.
1. I punched out 4 wide hearts in green and used a glue stick to adhere them to my 3.5" X 3.5" focal point. Arranging them to look like a four leaf clover. I cut a thin strip of matching green for the stem.
2. I then placed my focal point in an embossing folder the pressed the whole thing in my epic six machine.{A BigShot or Cuttlebug can do this easily.}
3. The focal point will be slightly distorted and a mat can now be cut to frame your focal point. Ideally the mat should measure 3 3/4"X 3 3/4" but it may not look even after the focal point is embossed.
4. I then glued my layers down on a 4X4 cards. Voila!

Hey my Crafty Freinds,
I have been so behind on blogging, I have not had a post in over a MONTH!

My favorite blogs have not taken a break while I was away and I know I missed out of some fabulous challenges. YEs, But today I return for some fun!
Check these out.

I am in L-O-V-E with using felt right now.  So.... the {: embellish :} challenge was perfect for me and the Kazan's Sketch #63 Is a fabulous sketch!

I used some Staz-on to stamp of the red felt to create this plush sofa and on the hard wear for the sentiment.  I layered my copic colored WTG-Well Read image in her favorite cozy spot, Et Voila!
I also de-bossed some card stock with a swiss-dot pattern for the floor.
I thought it looked like a real floor.

New stuff and party peek.

Hello!
I am still preparing for my daughter's Mad tea party. I have a picture today of some of the baking I have been up to. I want to show you what I made with my new Epic Six! I have been saving up for the machine for a few months. And when I got it I totally forgot that I didn't have any embossing folders or Texture plates... LOL! So two week later I have cut and embossed a few little things. I also got some fabulous new stamps from Practicing Creativity Designs.
Lucky me, Kazan's Sketch 55 and Caardvark:embosss Challenge were perfect for this card.
Here is a peek at "What's cookin" for my kid's Mad tea party... only 2 more days!

copic{couple}

I hope you all had a great week-end. It is defiantly Autumn here in southern Ontario. So we took some time to stroll in the park and look at the leaves with the kids. I know it is monday, so take a peek at Fridays post if you need a boost! I have some card maker's bloopers.

I am a new copic marker user, I am more comfortable with watercolors or colored pencils. I don't really know what I am doing with the markers but whatever... now is the time to learn.

Here is a card I made by embossing Anya and Ian. I colored them with the copic markers .
My main purpose was to blend colors from different color families.
I think it turned our pretty good!?! ***If you know of any great tutorials let me know.***

Hope you are Smiling! :)

A window to the past.

A window to the past is a card I made for a color challenge a while back. I am not sure why I didn't get around to posting it but... Oh well.
What I love about this card is the delicate details. Inside the window frame are soft clear embossed flowers on vellum. Some are grey and some are orange to coordinate with the vellums existing pattern.
Supplies:
Peach Orange and Grey Card-stock, designer vellum Orange and
grey ink, Clear embossing powder.

Hope you are enjoying the last days of summer.

queen{card}

Easter is over the treats are all eaten and I finally made a card!
This card is for the Caardvards Good Knight! Challenge. The challenge is for a fantasy themed card.
I used a stamp by Gel-a-tins a great company out of Toronto. Yeahhh! {I am so Canadian} The designs at Gel-i-tins are great. I was looking for months for a grown stamp and was over the moon at a local company had just the right one!
Hope you love this dreamy little card,
Shaz
