Pearly Escapes

Hey Krafty friends!
I made this pearly card with ranger liquid pearls.  Just got the stuff a few weeks ago and MAN it is fun!
This card is based on the CPS160; sketch . I used the "Your Dandy" stamps from Practicing Creativity again...I just can't get enough of them. The beautiful May Arts ribbon is also available at the PCD site.
Here is a close up of the liquid pearl. This shade is called Opal.
I have added a fresh bottle to the blog Candy!
Only, 2 days until the draw.
You can really see the texture of the ribbon too!

Happy Krafting, Shaz

What Guava card-stock?!?

Do you know where to get Guava colored card-stock? I couldn't even find a swatch in my old SU! catalogues. You see the greeting FarM had a color Challenge. It's was ...Farm Fresh Color Challenge and the colors were:  Brown , Kraft , and GUAVA! I grabbed my coupons and went to Michael Craft Superstore on my quest for Guava paper. I bought 2 different shades of this color JUST TO BE SAFE!

It there a good movie I have not seen? {gasp}

Hey there,
You know I love movies but Cinema Saturday featured a movie I had not seen! {GASP!} So I went to the library to borrow it...AND I could not even put it on hold.  They didn't have it in the catalogue. I am so CHEAp I hate renting a movie.   What was the mysterious movie?

I did watch a bit on T.V. Shack. I think I picked up on the themes.... war... Love... abandonment.. Royalty? I colored the image to resemble Isolde, and used metal embellishment  like those on Tristan's cloths.  Since I don't know the whole story I will spare the film analysis today. The challenge was to make a gable fold card inspired by the movie. I am going to try and watch the rest tonight.

I {heart} Movies!

The Cinema Saturday Blog is a favorite challenge for me because I love MOVIES! I could watch a movie every night. I watch while I scrap and while I fold laundry. {which I have been doing a lot of} I just love movies.

This week-end movie of inspiration is Australia and element is kraft paper.
If you have not seen is get it and you will fall in love. It is very romantic and the images are unforgettable. If you ever though cowboy were cute you will love Huge Jackman in Australia.
I also used Laura's Sketch #44 From 2 Sketch 4 you.

Happy Krafting!

Cute little baby Monkey card.

This Cute little Monkey card is inspired by "DEX" from the Movie: The Night at the Museum.
I used a few Challenges to create this card.

The Cinema Saturday Challenge #62 is to use a miniature on a card inspired by the movie,The Night at the Museum. I used a miniature key and a quote between Larry and Dex.
 I selected the colors from {: Embellish Magazine :} striped Purple Brown and Kraft  Challenge. I created some stripes on my card by layering Razzle-berry purple and Chocolate Chip brown ribbons.
 I used this elegant Sketch from 2Sketch4You #44

Then I used  Pile it on with the , Tie it Around Challenge to use 3 ribbons.  I used stitched Chocolate chip brown grosgrain, Razzle-berry purple grosgrain ribbon and Chocolate chip brown Satin ribbon.

Happy Krafting!

Christmas gift package

The Greeting Farm had a great Challenge for "the complete package", and boy was I stumped. After much thought I came up with this ...

These tins and book clip coordinate with the gift holder I made on my blog-aversary post. {here}
They are a Christmas Gift for my "Mommy-Buddy".  I stamped and colored Anya's head for tags to embellish the tins. I put a eyelet in the hat  to lace the tags to the tins.
The packaging is a re-use package from my birthday. I re-moved the original labels and replaced them with hand-stamp labels. {check out the close ups}

I also wanted to let you all know that there is a sale over at Purple Onion Design Stamps are 25% off until Dec 15th! You could also enter a draw over at the blog by post the blinkie like me. Head on over!

If you have any question please feel welcome to leave a comment.

It's me!

Another Scrap-book layout.
I scrapped this page of my little girl last year when she started kindergarden.
I included some **sweet** memorabilia.
The little craft in this layout is an item she made in her class.
It was to show what she thought she looked like.
The teacher also wrote some things she said about herself.

Have a great Week-end!

Sketched{page}

I love scrap-booking! It is truly my favorite thing to do.
I found this great site called: Unscripted Sketches.
It was mentioned on Momiji's blog {Hollie}.
When I saw Hollie's sample, I could not resist.
Take a look, this is Sketch #25:
The Sketches are so perfect.
Well, I dug right in and scrapped 3 pages inspired by this sketch.
Only 2 ended up looking like the sketch so here they are.

It was so much fun! I had a great time making these pages.
What do you think ?

See you soon,

Sleep~over{loot bags}

Well today is Sleep-over day.
You may have seen the invitations I made for my daughter's Birthday sleep-over. Here are some of the items in the loot bags.
  • Candy bag with topper
  • Embellished note book
  • Wrapped Sparkly pencils
  • Wrapped Chocolate cookie bar
  • Hair clips on a handmade card
  • Handmade bookmark Clip
  • Music mix for her friends {not in the photo}
I try to "limit the loot" to small gifts. I don't like to put too much candy in the loot bags. Kids are always so excited after a party. A sugar high is just too much!
Have a great weekend,
Shaz

birthday{giveaway}

I have so many birthday's in the next few week.
So I have been making some birthday cards.
For this bunch of cards I used the Splitcoaststamper's Sketch from this week challenge. It is the first time I have used there sketch and it was a great one.
I got this cute Biththday Princess from Hampton Arts yesterday and had so much fun coloring her in. I wish I had made this card earlier it would have been perfect for the Cinema challenge last week. The theme was "Twin Towers" and the challenge was embossing. For this car I clear embossed the image and the

decorative yellow edge is dry embossed.
{maybe, I will still try}

Spooky{tag}

Here she is! Fhiona with a cute Halloween costume. This is a witch that you would love to see tied on a treat or with a note just to say : “Have a great day!”
I stamped some friends for Fhiona in the background. The spider has a tiny paper pierced trail leading up to Fhiona. The ghost is a simple white outline, like a ghost should be.

The colors used for this tag are from Dawn McVeys’ Raspberry Suite color Challenge #16. I love the rich palette Dawn always picks. She has a great sense of style.
{materials}
kraft and white cardstock. markers. white and brown ink. Yournextstamp Fhiona image. yellow grosgrain ribbon and brown satin ribbon. The tag was cut with the MM slice.

Have a great day,
Shaz
