Turquoise Beauty

I made this card with a few challenges in mind.
I want to give each challenge some detail for this card so... this may be a word-y post.

Has a there FIRST challenge on right now. This challenge is to welcome the newest stamp set to their collection. The challenge was to use a sketch that a DT has used. i used a sketch by Paulina. My beach house will be available July 5th.
Pile it on #26 - My favorite things. I love using bling on cards! I used tear drop shaped rhinestones on this card by Prima. The color turquoise is also a favorite of mine.
Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #86 - Bend it Like Beckham OKay if you have not seen this movie... You are missing out!!! Great story, funny character and sweetly romantic. A favorite movie of mine. I love Jess's Dad and Jules Mom. The Mom is defiantly the Funny! her facial expressions are hilarious! Any ways, the challenge was to make a card NOT A2 size this card is 4 X 4" square.
Color Throwdown #99 Great colors for this challenge. I love that turquoise! The 100th challenge is going to be a big one!

Green Glamor.

Can you say Green Glamor! Today I am all about green and beads. Do you bead? I have made many pieces of jewelry over the years. But! I have never used beads on a card, today's is the first. I also have a beautiful glass bead necklace to show you! Let check out the card...

Did you see the beads on the butterflies body? I love the way it looks. The Cinema ladies have a Jane Austin theme going on with Becoming Jane. Fabulous chick flick, about the life of Jane Austin! The lace flowers are very appropriate for tea time with Jane. The first Cinema Saturday challenge was a Jane Austin movie did you know that? I didn't, wish I done that one too!!!
 Okay More beads...
These are some hand made glass beads I bought in Mexico. Don't these green and blue beads look great together? I had them in a long strand before but my little one broke the string. So I have given the necklace a makeover.

for you,New Moon

I have been in caos over the last few days. My lovley mother bought us some fabulouse furniture from a yard sale. I have been moving the room around and a round trying to get it just perfect. I have spent so much time re-decorating that I almost missed this challenge...
I really enjoy the Twilight saga. I had to stop moving the stuff to make something.
I used the official movie poster for color inspiration. I love the warm forest-y color in the picture. The colors are like the Embellish Dimension & Color Challenge, organic and warm.
I used foam squares to adhere the front of this card so the wrinkle could bend naturally.
Using Forest colors makes this a great card for a guy even thought it has flowers.
So I am sharing the card over at the Cards for men Challenge No.10 ~ Outdoorsy.
I also used the CPC #167 sketch, it was perfect for adding the silver filigree brads.

Techni-color

Hey all,
I was excited looking at the Cinema Saturday Challenge and couldn't resist making this card without knowing a thing about the movie! I just had an idea to so show the contrast between Black and White film and the digitally re-mastered color.
I did however use a few cues from the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #76 - North by Northwest post. I used paper that had an image of a Man in suit and of corse the paper piercing.
This card also qualifies for the "baby got back" and April sketch over at the PCP Bombshell group.
I'm going to watch the movie now!

Granny's apron

Hey all,
I still don't have a camera cord. I have contacted Fuji and the are out of stock right now. I hope I can get one soon... Here is a card for a few challenges.
I used this Challenge for most of the inspiration!
I had a vision of a granny's apron. I used gingham paper to fold a fan and trimmed it with lace, pearls and twill ribbon. I didn't tie a bow because I thought this knot would suit a granny making jam much better. All perfect elements of a souther granny. I also used the sentiment from a PCD stamp set. I thought it was the perfect quote for a souther granny to say: You're Dandy.

I flipped the sketch at Laura's Sketch 50
Monochromatic card, I used Core'dinations paper and sanded it for a weathered look.
And last but by far not least!
Piled it on with Challenge #15 "Spring"

UP UP and AWAY!!!

Hey all,
Today I am a Guest designer over at the Cinema Saturday Challenge! {YEAH!}
I really enjoy the Challenges the ladies post every week. Movies are my second favorite hobby.
Did any one guess the movie from the sneak peaks? I never get those things...Do you?
This week's Feature Film is Pixar's UP!  and the challenge is balloons.
"Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #74 - UP!"
The movie up is about an old Man who wants to live out his dream of seeing South America's wildlife.
He does this by attaching a Gazzilloin balloons to his house, UP, and away he goes!

I created this card with a gazzilion balloon and the quote " Adventure is out there!" from the movie.
To choose the colors I used the bird Carl meets in South America as inspiration.

That bird is so funny and the way the kid love the bird is so sweet. I stamped and cut out a LOT of balloons for this card and I layer them with dimensionals to make it look like it is popping off the page.

I used the Mojo Monday #133 to create my card.

Back from Spring Break!

Hey there my Kraft friends,
I have been away for a while but with good reason. The family and I took some time to go to Disney World! YEAH! We had a great time together with Grandma and Grandpa. But things happened while I was out of town, wonderful things too! I received an Audrey award from the ladies over at the Cinema Saturday Challenges. Thanks you SO Very VERY Much!
This week the feature film is 13 Going On 30! SO very Funny! You have to watch it, You will have a fun time laughing at Jennifer Gardener's expressions. The challenge is to use geometric shapes.
I chose circles. I also used pink , like the dress in the ad and birthday as a theme.
I used some new stamps. I am SO excited to have from Practicing Creativity! SUPER CUTE!
I also used Laura's Sketch 48 from 2 Sketch 4 You.

Clueless!

Hey all, I have been working on sprucing up the blog. I wanted something BRIGHT! So I took a jump at personalizing the Kraft Nook blog. {Do you like?}
I would like to make it more unique but I had to start somewhere.
I also spent a few hours away from the computer to do some real Krafting. I just loved the Sketch over at Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge and the Movie Clueless was Cinema Saturdays Feature film. {LOL What a funny movie!} One of the things this movie embraces is Fashion. It is very obvious with some of the hats and accessories the characters wear. Of course this meant I could Pile It On with the flower challenge too.
Buy it: Lovely Hat {$2}
I am very pleased with the way this hat looks. I cut it free-hand. This card would be perfect for Easter or Mother's day.

Happy Krafting!

Tea and a Dress.(cards)

I LOVE A CHALLENGE!
I have made 2 cards for 2 Challenges.
1st for Cinema Saturday Creativity
I made a cute little dress. I was ver excited to use the Sound of Music for inspiration. I watched with my kids at I stamped. To get the look of textile I stamped a second generation image. I also wanted it to have a faded look so I randomly place bolder stamped images and sponged around the card's edges. I also cut a 1/2 in strips of paper to use for a sash. Folding a shorted strip of paper around to make a tie. I kept all the dress pieces out so the patterned paper I made to keep it simple.
2nd for MojoMonday#64
I made a little Christmas tea card. Here is the thing! I did not want to stamp a Christmas Sentiment. So I made a little "Word Puzzle". I took a few of the words that came with the stamp and arranged them close together on my Acrylic block. When I stamped them they look like one image. Like a Word collage.
