framed Kindies!

Hey all! Summer busy-ness is here. But I have a project I can't wait to show you. This is a picture frame I have fancied over a few times. I used Laura's Sketch 57 to refurbish this old ikea frame.
I have wanted to showcase the kids when each of them was in Kindergarden for a while. I had a hard time putting an design to the concept. I also had a hard time picking colors for the frame since each on the kids is wearing different colors. The black and white worked best.

I wanted to have a ribbon bow but it wouldn't have worked.  This old Ikea frame is a traditional frame so there is little space for layering. I used punches to make thin layers that can fit in the limited space.
Here is what the frame looked like before. These are our first family picture taken with our youngest. Happy Krafting, Shaz
p.s. I {heart} comments!
